Personally, I think styling is something that comes naturally. Many people can learn the technical aspects of photo shoot styling; learning how to manipulate props and choose wardrobe. But, I believe that knowing what "works" is instinct and a great eye for style.  This is true not only for a fashion shoot, but everyday, in our own closets.

I went the business route for many years, after graduating from Arizona State University I worked in marketing, branding and public relations.  Then, I moved to Los Angeles.  Trying out something new, I worked on a few tv shows.  I became interested in wardrobe styling when I worked on the Paramount Pictures lot, riding a bike and delivering scripts. It was exciting, terribly underpaid, and often the most fun ever. I could usually be found in the wardrobe department of Star Trek, stroking the blue Metallic Leather, thinking that it wouldn't look near as good on an alien or Borg as it would on me, or so I thought.

I just had a great eye and gift for putting things together. I had done it for years on people but never on models, till my good friend asked me to come assistant style for her and so I did. And, so after several photo shoots of holding pins, running after food, and clipping clothes on models, I fell in love with styling.

I work with generous and visionary photographers, gifted hair and makeup Gods and Goddesses and models that are always amazing ... just good hearted talents all around.

I am lucky and blessed. Thanks for reading this.
